The Owl House season 2 premiered approximately one year after the end of season 1. In addition, it was also announced that season 3 of The Owl House would be the final season.

Creator Dana Terrace mentioned that although they asked for an extended third season, Disney disagreed. Instead, the third season will be consisting of three 44 minute specials. The Owl House season 3 will be much different compared to the previous two seasons as Disney decided not to renew the series for an entire season. Starring in the series is Sarah-Nicole Robles (“Star Darlings”) as Luz, Wendie Malick (“Just Shoot Me”) as Eda, Alex Hirsch (Disney’s “Gravity Falls”) as King and Hooty, Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) as Emperor Belos, Issac Ryan Brown (Disney Channel’s “Raven’s Home”) as Gus, Tati Gabrielle (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) as Willow, Mae Whitman (“Good Girls”) as Amity and Cissy Jones (“Little Big Awesome”) as Lilith. In 4Q20, “The Owl House” was a top-five cable animated series with kids and girls 6-11, and the series has amassed over 58 million views on Disney Channel YouTube since its launch in January 2020.

Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda’s apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting. “The Owl House” follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a tiny warrior, King. The second season of The Owl House is currently airing on Disney Channel each Saturday in the United States and on Disney+ in many other regions.

Then, in May 2021, the series was renewed for a third season consisting of three specials, ahead of the second season premiere, later announced to be the final season of the series. The show has been hugely popular with audiences, and the series was understandably renewed for a second season back in November 2019. The Owl House is an American animated fantasy television series created by Dana Terrace that premiered on Disney Channel on January 10, 2020.
